    Description

    Excellent example of the rare British Pattern 1919 Web Rifle Equipment - Bayonet Frog, identified by its distinctive and unique brass fastener crown located just below the upper retaining loop, this brass fastener stud attached to a matching spigot on the left Webbing Cartridge Carrier. The British 1919 Webbing Pattern Frog should not be confused with later similar in design versions of the webbing frog made
    without
    the brass fastener crown (press stud).
    The Pattern 1919 Webbing Frog was designed to carry either the Pattern 1888 and or Pattern 1907 bayonets.
    This 2 piece webbing frog is 8

    inches in length, with the upper portion being 1
    ½
    inches wide and the lower portion being 1¾ inches wide.
    The upper retaining loop is 4¾ x
    ½
    inch, and the 2 lower retaining loops are 3
    ½
    x 1
    ¼ (upper) and 3½ x 1½ inches (lower).
    The diameter of the brass fastener crown (press stud) is ½ inch.
    This rare British Webbing Pattern 1919 Frog is in excellent all original service used condition, and is a must for the British Army Webbing Equipment and or bayonet frog Collector.
