A Ductless Mini split consists of both an indoor unit (evaporator) and outdoor unit (condenser). These are connected to each other via both a copper lineset (liquid line & gas line) as well as a 4-lead copper stranded electrical cable. Some system packages online include a 15-25ft lineset, some may include the wire as well while some packages do not include any of these accessories. Lineset lengths longer than 25' require copper threaded unions to join the 15' and 25' linesets together. Example 30' (15+15), 40' (25+15), 50' (25+25). Since each application is unique requiring varying distances, this listing offers the complete required connection kit in varying lengths for an individualized requirement. *This item is typically purchased with a package that does not include lines .
COPPER COIL Lineset:
Unlike many other lineset brands that are made of aluminum, Thermocore linesets are
100% pure copper
. Aluminum (CU-AL) is cheaper than copper so many brands are starting to produce aluminum linesets to save on cost. However, aluminum cannot be cut / reduced like the industry standard copper lines and most importantly, aluminum lines will result in a loss of energy efficiency. The Thermal conductivity is much greater in copper than aluminum (around 60%), so the short term savings of aluminum linesets will result in higher utility costs in the long term. Each set includes two Lines.
White Textured Insulation Tubing:
Thick double-layer white polyethylene foam insulation tubes maximize energy efficiency by minimizing energy transfer. Because white reflects heat rather than absorbs heat, white ins has great resistance to sun exposure and lasts longer than the black rubber counterparts. Textured surface also provides for easy handling.
Pre-Flared:
All Thermocore Linesets come pre-flared with brass flare nuts already installed for easy connection to service ports on your air conditioning system. No soldering.
16/4 - 14/4 AWG Electrical Wire:
This package also includes the matching 16 gauge / SJOOW 4-strand electrical connection wire that runs parallel to lineset and completes required connections between the outdoor and indoor unit(s). This cable is 300V
,
copper stranded, outdoor rated and UL approved. If 50ft Lineset is ordered, a matching 50ft electrical wire will be included. If 3/8 x 5/8 lineset is ordered, we will include 14 AWG instead of 16 as someties the 3/8 x 5/8 gauge-set operates a 36000-48000 BTU air handler which requires larger gauge wire.
** Linesets are available in 15 ft and 25ft
continuous
runs. The 30, 40, 50, 60, 75 ft lengths are formed by combining of a 15 / 25ft length along with a male-male union joints to attach both runs together. When a length is purchased that is greater than 15 or 25 ft, we will send you the corresponding linesets along with matching union(s) to achieve required distance. For Example, a 55ft run will be two 15ft lengths, one 25ft length and 2 sets of unions.
** The Electrical Wire will be continuous and uncut. In fact, if two linesets are purchased for a total of 75ft, we will provide a 75ft straight cut of electrical wire for added flexibility if extensions are conducted on site.

Our Thermocore systems ship via FEDEX Ground or out of Warren, Michigan and will arrive in two seperate boxes. Transit time is usually between 4 to 5 business days from payment receipt depending on where you are geographically located. We do not require signature upon delivery for these shipments. We will ship to Canadian locations but please be advised of additional import brokerage charges that may be entailed when shipment crosses border. please contact our offices.
