    F Troop
    , a western sitcom
set at Fort Courage after the Civil War, was
    televised on ABC from 1965-1967
. The show featured a group of bumbling cavalrymen and inept Indians. Dancer and stage and screen actor
    KEN BERRY (1933-2018)
    is perhaps
best known for his work in TV sitcoms, which also include
    F-Troop
    (1965-1967),The
    Mayberry RFD
    (replacing Andy Griffith, 1968-1971) and
    Mama's Family
    (1983-1990).
Berry, who was a dancer in the
    Billy Barnes Revue
(1958-1964), was noticed by Lucille Ball, who offered him a job at Desilu. Berry, who had his first recurring role on the small screen on
    The Ann Sothern Show
(1958), produced by Desilu, has appeared as a guest star on several TV shows, has made several made-for-TV movies and has appeared in numerous feature films in addition to touring with stage productions.
    MELODY PATTERSON (1949-2015)
was an American actress known for her role as
    Wrangler Jane
in the 1960s TV series F Troop; her character ran the cavalry post store. After the cancellation of the show in 1967 she worked in television, radio, theater and entertaining troops in Vietnam.
    LARRY STORCH (b. 1923)
    is an American actor with
over 200 TV shows and movies to his credit,
but is best known for his role as
    Corporal Randolph Agarn on
    F Troop
    (1965-1967),
a role that earned him an
    Emmy nomination in 1967.
    He
began his career in vaudeville before moving to radio and television. His stint as a
    summer replacement host for
    Calvadade of Stars
    (1951-1952) led to his
    own variety show,
    The Larry Storch Show
    ,
in 1953. During WWII, Storch had
served on a submarine with actor Tony Curtis
and the two became fast friends,
    starring in eight films together
    and
touring in the musical version of
    Some Like It Hot
    .
In addition to his films, guest appearances on television and appearances in nightclubs, Storch found
success as a voice artist on a number of cartoon series.
He continues to act, with his latest acting credit as of this biography being 2005's
    Bittersweet Palace
    .
    DONALD ALAN "DON" DIAMOND
    (1921-2011)
was an American radio, film, and television actor who
portrayed "Crazy Cat", the sidekick and heir apparent to Chief Wild Eagle on the popular 1960s television sitcom,
    F Troop
(1965-1967). Diamond studied drama at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in 1942. After serving in the Army and being discharged in 1946 as a first lieutenant, he began acting on radio and became known for his dialect portrayals of Spaniards and Mexicans (despite his Russian heritage). This led to his
playing the role of "El Toro" in
    The Adventures of Kit Carson
syndicated television series (1951-1955). Diamond also played Corporal Reyes on the Walt Disney television series
    Zorro
    (1957-1959)
alongside Henry Calvin who portrayed Sergeant Garcia.
    JAMES HAMPTON (b. 1936),
    who
starred as Private Hannibal Dobbs on the TV sitcom
    F Troop
    (1965-1967)
, has played supporting roles in several feature films and made recurring visits to a number of TV shows, including
    Gunsmoke
    ,
    The Doris Day Show
    ,
    Love, American Style
    ,
    Teen Wolf
    and
    Full House
. After appearing in an episode of
    Evening Shade
, he wrote and directed several episodes.
    JOE BROOKS (1923-2007)
was an American actor best known for his portrayal of the near-sighted Trooper Vanderbilt from
    F Troop
(1965). His first roles were mostly uncredited parts,
not receiving a credited role until a 1958 episode of
    Cheyenne
    .
It wasn't until landing the role of Vanderbilt that Brooks had any substantial work, and even after he
was unable to find another role as successful as his one
    F Troop
    .
He made his list acting appearance in the 1986 film
    Eye of the Tiger
    .
    Fine condition.
