Here is a great set of books for your collection.  Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself!
This is a two volume set.  Both volumes still have their covers tightly secured to the books and the binding of the pages is still holding very well.  A little dusty smell to them, but no mold or mustiness it present.  Pershing won the Pulitzer Prize in the history category in 1932 for his memoirs.
Volume 1 has some wear to the corners of the covers.  Volume 2 does not show that same wear.  Volume 1 is  400 pages longs and Volume 2 is 426 pages long.  Each volume is 6.5" across, by 9-5/8" tall.  Each volume has gold gilting on the top of the pages.  The side and bottom pages are rough cut and do not show evidence of gilting.  I see no foxing or brown spotting going on.  The pages are not yellow as the pictures show,  just that eBay tool to adjust for lighting is not working.
