LARGE ROSE GONZALES NATIVE AMERICAN CARVED POT W/ AVANYU "BLUE RIBBON WINNER"!
This is the largest carved example of Rose Gonzales that we have been able to find record of. It measures 10 1/2" tall and 7" across. It came from a local estate. Inside we found the original purchase receipt from the Arts and Crafts Department of the Santa Fe Indian School. It's dated 9/27/51 and the purchase price was .00! There was also a hand written note that has some water damage but still legible. It says "By Rose Water serpent design. A Blue ribbon piece from a New Mexico State Fair in
Albuquerque". There is one small inner rim nick, no other damage; there are some minor scuffs. A super addition to any collection! Please email with questions. Thanks!
