    Description

Louise Suina Cochiti Pueblo Pottery Storyteller Woman approximatly 6 inches tall with 12 figures. It is signed Louise E. Suina NM Cochiti
This pieces appears to be in great shape. I didn't notice any cracks or repairs! I believe it is vintage and from the 1980's.
    Louise Suina (1939 - 1992 )
Cochiti Pueblo has always been known for its pottery figures so the natural progression to making nativities by the potters is not surprising. Whimsical figures and animals from Cochiti Pueblo have become very collectable and some families have created their legacy by making figurines.
Louise Suina is one of several potters from
    Cochiti Pueblo
that makes figurines and nativities. She is a member of the well-known Suina family and was cousin to
    Helen Cordero
    and
    Seferina Ortiz
. Her figures are typically small and well formed.
