    Slow food cooking at its best-- micaceous clay enhances flavors as your food simmers over a low flame.
    These pots heat up slowly and stay uniformly hot, cooking food evenly. Tough cuts of meat can be tenderized when cooked in the moist heat of a micaceous pot.  Please feel free to contact me with any comments and questions.  You can see more of my pottery on Etsy.

    P.S.  Not only are all of these pieces handmade, they are handcoiled -- no potter's wheel is used in their creation.
    Variations are typical for this style of handmade pottery. Imperfections from deviations in clay mineral content may result in some surface blemishes. Scratches from using tongs to remove the pot from the fire may be visible.
    I like to think these variations are part of the pot's charm and authenticity but please know that I take every precaution to ensure the pieces are well constructed. Note that discoloration to the bottom of a piece may develop when used over fire creating a lovely patina; this is due to the natural part of the maturation process. Since micaceous cookware is semi-porous, pieces can also take on a patina from food cooked and served in it; this is to be expected.
    I ship all my pieces individually bubble wrapped nestled in shipping peanuts, double boxed, and insured, delivery confirmation with signature required. No item has broken yet.
