Originally called "singing mother," a Storyteller is a clay figurine made by the Pueblo Tribes of New Mexico. A Storyteller sculpture is of any human or animal figure covered with smaller children or animals. Storytellers are one of the most collectible and sought after forms of Native American clay art.
Bonnie Fragua was born in Jemez Pueblo in 1966.   She learned the traditional way of making Jemez pottery from her mother (Grace Fragua) and her aunt (Emily Fragua Tsosie).  She has exhibited her work in the Santa Fe Indian Market, Heard Museum Fair, and the Eight Northern Pueblos annual event.  Bonnie is well known for her animal figures and storytellers.
