    Description

    Very good condition original Norwegian Model 1894 Krag Jorgensen bayonet that was modified after WWII to fit the M1 Carbine. Done at Norwegian arsenals to fit the M1 Carbine supplied by the USA. Bayonet has the Steyr “OEWG” marking on the right ricasso and nice arsenal reblued metal finish. Blade has some pitting under the finish Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit with some normal handling marks. Right side has a crack. Lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that was modified with the addition of a US GI style web belt loop with belt hook and handle straps that have working snap. Scabbard has nice reblued finish with some dents and dings. A scarce bayonet for your collection.
