    Description

    Neat original antique 1861 US Civil War period steel engraving of "Maj. Gen. John A. Dix  U.S.A." engraved by G.E. Perine for Rebellion Record from family photograph. The engraving is period, the plate marks are evident and it is crisp. It measures approx. 12" x 9 1/2". It is in good original condition with wear consistent with its age and use, surface soiling, yellowing & discoloration, foxing spots, some roughness to the edges and corners, otherwise it is ready for framing.
