    Description

Up for sale is a very nice holster for the Colt New Army 45 caliber revolver. This one is in nice condition and well marked. It is also named to a soldier named “Lopez”. It’s possible this holster was issued to a Mexican-American who served during the expedition into Mexico to arrest Poncho Villa. This model revolver was created because the 38 was shown to be too weak at stopping men dead during the Philippine Insurrection. The government replaced it with a 45 caliber revolver that used moon clips. This holster is what housed the army’s newest revolver. Very cool piece of American history!
