    This is an exceptional quality Kashmir thimble created for Heirloom by a fellow importer Carol Sax. Carol is an artist and she spent many years in Kashmir assisting in the design she did for Warner Brothers Gift Shops and Gumps in San Francisco.
    This type of lacquer ware is a dying art in Kashmir. The craftsmen are fading into the sunset and young people do not want to learn their ancestral trade. It is a shame to lose this type of work. So get one while they last for your collection. I will not have more when they are gone.
