Unknown Item. WW1 Entrenching tool? Gardening? Bakery? Farm?

Description

No idea what these are. Cast handles on very hefty blades. Size seen in the pics. Very nice construction with what seems to be hand hammered rivets that fix the handle to the blade. Blade ends are tappered but not sharpened.
Maybe WW1 period. If anyone knows what these are please share that knowledge. Speculated as maybe farming, bakery, military, gardening...
