Vintage L. Choyou Signed HOPI Pueblo Native American Indian Polychrome Pottery.It measures 3 1/2" h x 4 1/2” w and is signed "L Choyou Hopi" plus her deer hooves hallmark. The pot is in good vintage condition. Please refer to pictures for details.
Lorraine is from the Deer/Flute Clan, Sichomovi, 1st Mesa. She was born in 1964 and is the daughter of Robert Choyou and Kathleen Dewakuku and the cousin of Jake Koopee. She is the sister of Delores, Lucinda and Georgia Koopee and the mother of George, Coran, Yanaka Pewo, Dwight, Robin and Marlene. Gregory Schaaf wrote a nice bio on her in his Hopi-Tewa Pottery book.
