    Description

Vintage Maricopa Native American Indian Red Clay Pottery 4" Small Bowl, Heavy.
I found this bowl at the estate sale of a former antique store that had been closed for 20 years before the sale.
So, this bowl is definitely vintage (over 20 years old) but is likely antique (over 100 years).
The bowl is unsigned and after much searching my best guess is that this is a Maricopa Indian design. My second guess is Hopi Indian.
I was unable to find a match to the wave like design with squares.
The red clay is very thick. There are a few spots with knicks or holes but they do not go through the bowl. The glaze polish is also worn off in spots primarily on the base. This is an item that was made for use and not decor. It has wear from age and use. Please review all photos provided which includes measurements.
If you live in the greater Los Angeles area and are willing to drive to the South Bay to pick this up, I have included a free pickup option for you to select at checkout. If you don't live in LA please do not select this as it will delay and complicate the shipping process.
