Vintage WWI Era Valet Auto Strop Shaving Kit

I do not know much about this shaving kit. It belonged to my grandfather and I have had it since he passed in 1976.
The kit does not say U.S. Army, but the color seems right. It has two shaving heads and two handles.  The razor box is not in the best shape.I do not know if this is the way the kit was originally.
I do know that my grandfather was in WWI. He told me he was sent to France and by the time he got there the war was over, so that could be why the item is in such great shape for an item over 100 years old, but I can't be sure. So I am selling "as is" hoping someone will appreciate the condition.
