    HOME FROM THE WAR.
    A wood-engraving by Winslow Homer, from the June 13, 1863 issue of "Harper's Weekly." It measures 10 3/4 x 15 1/2 inches, and is in fine condition, with only minor tears in the margins.
    Homer created hundreds of drawings as a staff artist on Civil War battlefields for Harper's weekly newspaper. The above shows soldiers returning home to their wives and children;
    a powerful "hope" for the ending of this terrible conflict which still had years to go.
