This is for a Vintage Antique WWI Trench Art Brass Bowl. Marked on bottom: Taken Aug 3 1918 Marne Aisne Offensive at Charteres.
Approximately 4 in. tall, and 10-1/8 in. across. Good condition, some wear, see also pictures.
We found this in an estate we were cleaning out. The Marne Aisne Offensive at Charteres is also known as the Second Battle of the Marne. If you go to Wikipedia you can find more info about it.
