    Between the corps d’armée of Genl. Banks, constituting a part of the Army of Virginia, under Genl. Pope and a vastly superior number of the Rebels under Elwell and Stonewall Jackson, the Rebels were finally repulsed, and the Field occupied by the Federal Army.
